The Magic Lamp formula is a BoP Alliance only recipe, however the created item itself is BoU. The formula costs 20 hypnotic dust, and can be purchased from multiple Enchanting Supply Vendors located in the major Alliance capitals.
The recipe can also be purchased from an NPC named Senthii, located within the alliance starting area called Highbank in the Twilight Highlands. Note that the zone is phased upon entering, and Senthii as well as other vendors will be inaccessible until players complete the initial quest chain for their faction. Twilight Highland quests have a minimum level of 84.
The Horde version of this pet is the Enchanted Lantern.

This is the easiest pet with Wish you could possibly get. Really quite trollish in the Celestial Tournament.
If you go to Yu'la, cast Wish, then switch to a pet that's low on HP, you can get a free heal because Yu'la literally does no damage in the first two turns. After that you can just white flag and repeat for all the heals you could hope for!
Same stats as the other three lamps but with a different move set. Does well against fliers. And can be good team utility with Sear Magic and Wish.
This is an amazing counter to the Valk.
This pet was very easy to level; I brought it along with my 25s to Pandaria, and since Magic pets can only take 40% of their HP in damage, even at level 1 he could get a shot in and then switch out without dying.
Also, he does damage comparable to that of the Lofty Libram or Legs, and his level 20 heal (Wish) is absolutely amazing. The only other pet with Wish is the Magical Crawdad, and- trust me!- he's a LOT harder to get. (Though I must say, the two of them make an unstoppable team.)
