Players will need to unlock the Protoform Synthesis Forge in order to craft this pet. This requires the completion of the first 3 Zereth Mortis campaign chapters, and then learning the Sopranian Understanding perk which starts a quest chain to fully unlock the forge. Once the forge is unlocked, players will need to find the schematics for some of the crafted pets.

The schematic for this pet has a chance to be rewarded from the daily quest Cluck, Cluck, Boom, which can be picked up in Exile's Hollow from Firim.

As of August 2023, this is still the only pet to ever have Maul self-synergy. Also, Whirling Talons is crazy good - and since it makes everyone Bleed, swapping won't save you from getting savagely mauled by this otherwise unasumming pet.
