Find an Agitated Poultrid in Zereth Mortis, target it and use the /chicken emote. This will turn it into the Enraged Poultrid and make it available for capture.

Nobody calls this poultrid 'chicken.'
Absolutely wonderful pet !!!! Having very unique move Whirling Talons which makes ALL enemy's team to bleed for 4 rounds, followed by either its own Flock to greatly fortify it, or by swapping to pet who contribute from bleeding is making this cutie very dangerous :) (as stated - WHOLE enemy's team is bleeding :)). Didn't try it in PVP yet, but fighting wild pets this fellow quite often is able to finish whole combat just by himself. Very good pet :)

Loving whirling talons so far!
1. Fly about the locations on the map where this has been seen, spamming /target Agitated Poultrid
2. When you find one, target it and /chicken once and wait a moment
3. Agitated Chicken will turn into the battle pet Enraged Poultrid
4. Battle as normal, winner winner chicken dinner (pet)
Looking at the locations on Wowhead, the 'Agitated Poultrid' shares spawns with 'Wild Poultrid'. As such, it may be worthwhile to kill the Wild Poultrid you come across in order to give them a chance to spawn as Agitated Poultrid.
Locations/Spawns do *not* seem to be related to 'Foraging Poultrid'.
Found 1 at rare location Gluttonous Overgrowth (53.13 93.06)

I found mine outside Faith's Repose when the Cluck, Cluck, Boom quest was available. It seems that lots of Poultrids appeared during this time.
Easiest way to find the Agitated Poultrid is add it's ID code to SilverDragon - 183349. That way it will alert you when you are in it's area AND mark it with a purple star to make it easier to see.

Found at 53, 93 where the Gluttonous Overgrowth spawns, it was hiding in a bush
The agitated poultrid appears to be a rare spawn of the wild poultrid which are found all throughout in grassy areas. Do the /chicken emote at it to start the fight.

i found mine too at 52 88. it was a bad quality but cant be picky and i had rare stones ready. thanks for the coords
Found mine at 52 88, Agitated Poultrid. Chicken emoted at him, he turned into Enraged Poultrid and was battleable :D
AT 44, 92 I saw a critter NPC that was not able to be killed called Agitated Poultrid, I /chicken at it and it activated it as a pet battle!
