Patch 4.1.0 | Posted: April 26, 2011

This pet is redeemed through the common 'Landro's Lichling' loot card from the World of Warcraft War of the Elements TCG expansion. The card may be scratched to reveal a code allowing access to this pet. The code may be redeemed at Blizzard's promotion retrieval page. The pet may be obtained in-game from Landro Longshot in Booty Bay.

I wouldn't call it a good pet for PvP, there are other undead pets out there that fits the same slot and does it so much better. It does have a nice combination of Forst Nova and then Howling Blast, this does decent damage but with the long cooldowns you are then stuck doing pretty much no damage until you can repeat said moves. If you do this you probably need to switch to another pet. If you go with Shadow Slash/Curse of Doom there are other pets that does that better.

I love this little guy. He is one of my 3 main 25's... he makes for a very good Undead tank. I can't tell you how many battles I have won with him dying and comming back immortal for a turn and I get another hit and win!

I agree with being slightly annoyed that this is not even a re-skin, but at the same time this gave me a chance to get a pet I didn't want to pay the store price for. One of the reasons I play the WoW TCG's over others is for the chance at pets/mounts. So in a way, Blizzard is sort of rewarding me for playing a game I would already wanted to play...it's the only TCG with co-op play, dungeons, and I love having cards that reflect the characters I know and love in game.

Its a crying shame that this isnt a reskinned model. There are plenty of Lich skins out there and I was kind of hoping for the pinkish one you see in Dragonblight. This has the feeling of a duplicate TCG card that you want to trade with a freind.

After the Cenarion Hatchling/Hippogryph Hatchling, there are at least 4 TCG pets that are repeats.

I would rather have a different color scheme to tell the pets apart, to make them slightly different from each other.

I'm wondering what's going to be next... It seems like the new Trading Card Game company is only copying from existing pets or other related stuff ingame, and giving almost nothing unique.

How the goblin Landro Longshot initially came into possession of the lichling remains a mystery, but he was all too eager to wager it in a game of cards.
