This pet is a free gift for pre-purchasing the expansion Dragonflight Base Edition. It is only available with a pre-order, and will not be part of the Base Edition once the expansion is released.

The pet is added directly to the Pet Journal.

When this pet's owner mounts up, Drakks will mount up on its very own miniature mount and ride alongside the player.

There arent many pets with this amout of interactivity! I love all the emotes you can do and that he flies on his own mount next to you in the air! So cool love this dude :)

Okay, after using him on my team for a while- Drakks is pretty decent! There are definitely less 'chance based' pets you can use in place of him, but if you can get a Cataclysm off [50% change] followed by a Tail Sweep, it two hits a lot of trash mobs.

 

His biggest plus is how his unique interactions are very cute, and he does feel more like a traveling buddy rather than a proper battle pet. I feel like I'm watching a little dragon adventurer fighting his first battles.
