Hedgehogs are not at all fond of croquet nor flamingos.
Just got a rare in dreaded wastes just to west of the thundering run. Only after about maybe 5th battle with one.
Rare popped up when I tagged an Emperor Crab in Dread Wastes near the shelf. Naturally, I trapped the Rare Hedgehog and still looking for rare crab. He is ridiculously fun. 6:30pm Pacific Lightbringer Server. He was the first one I've seen to be honest - couldn't believe my luck he was a rare. So I can't vouch for normal spawns or not.
I've been looking for a rare all day and haven't seen one, so if they exist the drop rate must be ridiculously low.
After killing several hundred of these today (I believe I'm over 1000 in the last month), I'm beginning to wonder if the bug somehow made it's way back into the game. Has anyone seen a rare recently?
Edit 9-6-13: After another 50ish today I finally found one! Thank goodness!
Love this guy as part of my team to beat Aki. (Bite, Spiked Skin, Counterstrike) he takes out the critter and can do decent damage to the dragonkin. Dark Whelping and Efferescent Glowfly completed my team today.
Got a rare today, looks it got fixed.
Same, I've searched for days and I never saw a single rare. Several other reports on wowhead are the same. Clouded Hedgehog, Jungle Grub and Silent Hedgehog all bugged.
The people at Blizzard have a sense of humor: the note for it refers to Alice in Wonderland. *claps* bravo
I too have searched for many days for this rare feller with none to be found.
Having searched for a rare version of this guy for the last few days, and checking the comments on WoWhead, it seems it's bugged like the Jungle Grub at the moment. Where rare versions just do not spawn.
Hopefully I am wrong and just need to keep looking but I think I'll save myself some time and just hold on to my uncommon one and upgrade it when the next patch comes out :)
