I hate this frog.... sooo much.... such an expensive pet to buy, yet so essential to a lot of the family fighter/familiar strategies. I’m still holding out hope it will drop for me... for now.

I would think that since it only gets to a speed of 276 in the most speed heavy build, you 'd want the H/P build.

Surprisingly useful pet. Mostly against undead and elementals, with Water Jet/Mudslide/Swarm. Avoid Toxic Skin unless you often run into rabbits or stampede type attacks. And Corpse Explosion is quite useless on this frog. Still can do good results against said families. Don't expect fireworks though.

While this pet is out and following I notice random other pets joining him. One is a boar named "Mud" that actually kills him sometimes, and the other is "Earthen Guard". Its a tiny rock elemental looking guy. I dont' have either of those pets so I'm wondering if its glitching or if its just the animation/feature that comes with the pet. Anyone else is experiencing this also? lol

I got this guy earlier today after about 20 kills of Bufo...I was lucky! : ) One thing that really creeps me out is the noises he makes when you click on it.... D:

Drops from the rare spawn frog Bufo. Unlike a lot of the other animal rares on the island, Bufo is not linked to the animals around him and killing frogs doesn't cause him to spawn. Instead he simply respawns on a timer, reappearing between 30 and 60 minutes after being killed. Never less, never more.

Like a lot of the other pets on the island, getting this frog is simply an exercise in patience. Do something else for 30 minutes, camp for 1-30 minutes, repeat.

A possible drop from the rare spawn, Bufo.

He has several spawn locations along the Croaking Hollow: (66.8, 65.2), (65.2, 69.4), (63.4, 73.0), (65.2, 74.6).

He has roughly 3.5mil Hp and isn't too much of an issue with a group, but his Toxins are lethal at 10 stacks if you can't get him down fast enough or get away so the debuffs drop off you.

There are 3 builds of this frog (B/B, H/P, H/B). It took me quite a long time to get a drop; I lost count of how many times I killed Bufo. Farming the frogs along the shore while waiting for him to spawn is a great way to earn Timeless Coins though.

Gulp frogs of the Timeless Isle can feast upon prey several times larger than themselves by slowly digesting the victim externally with a toxic slime.
