If you're having trouble capturing this wild pet due to its self-destructing ability, "Explode," I recommend clicking the white flag button to surrender and forfeit the battle. As long as you haven't dealt any damage, it will return to the map, allowing you to start a new battle with a chance of it not having that ability. Usually, after the third surrender, it appears without "Explode," making it much easier to capture for your collection!

This is a rare spawn of the Bombshell Crab and seems to spawn around The Heaps area in southern Undermine.

 

This pet is required for the Undermine Safari achievement, even though the achievement says Venture Crab. That was greyed out on my achievement until I caught a Venture Bombshell, then it turned green. So Venture Crab is misnamed in the achievement.
