According to the game database, orange body with purple bomb is the rarest colour (1 in 26, or 3.8%) while red body with black bomb is of medium rarity (5 in 26, or 19.2%). The remainder are purple body with blue bomb (20 in 26, or 76.9%).
If you're having trouble capturing this wild pet due to its self-destructing ability, "Explode," I recommend clicking the white flag button to surrender and forfeit the battle. As long as you haven't dealt any damage, it will return to the map, allowing you to start a new battle with a chance of it not having that ability. Usually, after the third surrender, it appears without "Explode," making it much easier to capture for your collection!
