Collectors have been patiently waiting for information on where Squirky, a new baby murloc battle pet, would come from. Well, the wait is over!
Squirky Now Collectible
Blizzard revealed this week that Squirky (pictured right) can be found as a level 25 wild pet on Seabreak Isle. This island is off the north-western coast of Azsuna.
"Looking to add to your in-game pet collection? Be prepared to face dangers untold just off the coast of Azsuna on Seabreak Isle. These elite members of the Squigglefin tribe aren’t going to be happy about your visit to their little home, but if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to find Squirky among them. Summon your veteran pet battle team into action, and make him a part of your own band of merry battle pets."
Although Squirky is a lovable little murloc, its larger counterparts are not as friendly. Level 110 hostile elites with a very fast respawn time swarm the island. Collectors may want to bring a friend or two to help.
So tell a buddy and head out together to Azsuna. Your very own Squirky awaits!
Hug Squirky In Person
But wait, there's more — not only can players collect this pet in-game, a soft, cuddly version is available too.
A Squirky plushie (pictured above) is now available in the Blizzard Gear Store.
Note: The in-game pet and plushie are separate collectibles, and are not tied together. Collect one or the other, or better yet both!
Adopt Squirky and you can give this adorable baby murloc a big hug in person.
Thanks for the info! I almost bought the Plushie without realizing the pet is a wild catch. Not that I would mind the plush, it's pretty dang cute!
The Squirky battles vary slightly, I found the ones with Bubble a bit tougher/longer fight than the ones with For Adventure! just because they can avoid so many attacks.
B/B breed only. I spotted poor through uncommon versions, using a stone is wise.
Pulled 2 mobs into the water to clear an edge (I was alone) and then a few more to reach the 3 squirkys at the campfire on the lowest level of the island. The squirkys respawn rather quickly, the first one I'd fought respawned by the time I was done battling the second one. The mobs didn't start their respawn until I'd battled all three squirkys.
Anyone ilvl 890+ should be ok.
If you have an ilvl of 900+ toon the mobs are easy to handle, picked mine up after killing three mobs. Pet was a poor quility BB, not sure if they come in any other flavors.
Got mine lst night the easy way. I waited for another player to aggro all the elites (and die) and then swooped in to battle. I used a terrible turnip (Turnipator) to capture.
Easy! ;P
What is interesting is that several months ago I was exploring and found this isle- only the elites were there (mucho suprised) and wondered what was going to happen there.
teamed up with an ally { I'm horde ) we kicked butt and took names both got a pet. a bow and goodbye was fun
The island is tiny, and heavily populated with elites. Pet comes in multiple rarities but only one breed (B/B), so you might find it easier to grab one then rare stone it, rather than trying to catch one that's already rare.
He's up on EU too. (Seabreak Isle is in Azsuna @20.28, 22.08)
Plenty of them on the island. But the Mobs there are Lvl110 Elite and it's very crowded. So it's difficult to find a spot where you can reach Squirky without being in a Pats way.
I was lucky to be able to battle one just at the south tip of the Island where an Elite Runner makes his rounds. Time it right and hope the Battle Area is not stuck. And take a Pet with Weakenig Blow (like Terrible Tunip). Squirky is Humanoid and the back pets were Aquatic in my case.
Good Luck!
Got him as soon as saw the advert.
Be prepared to fight tough mobs. Mine was a poor quality, then again I have a bank load of blue stones. The team I fought was Squirky lvl 23, with fishslap, clobber and bubble, a basic crab and a snail. Had to be careful not to kill him.
Good luck and happy hunting
