With 6.1 live today, I noticed mine was now rare quality, but I did not use a stone to upgrade it. Was the base quality changed with the patch?

I believe this is the only pet that gives you the option to use both Whirlpool and Geyser. Other Aquatics that have these abilities usually have them in the same slot, so you must choose one. This combined with any pet that has Howl makes it absolutely lethal against almost all single pet boss fights. Just make sure to hit Geyser first or the combo won't work right.
