I just got this as my first darkmoon pet yesterday morning, went on a crazy leveling binge heh, and got him up to 20.  He's pretty sweet, question though, what does the secondary attribute of thunderbolt do?  explodes any active bombs, I can't figure it out.. I thought it meant preempt the 3 rounds for the bomb from bombing run to drop, but that wasn't it.. Not sure about this, anyone know?

his skill set is awesome, i was using him as a 22 rare taking out 24 beasts, which are strong to him with no issue.  This guy is sweet.

he's one of my pets in my main 25 rotation, with his + 100 pct damage buff he can hit like a truck.  

I also use him as a leveler, he's great with level 20's you're leveling with.  having him at 25 you don't lose to npc's 

just to say, the scorged whelping is overall a better battle pet.  I say this because i've faced this guy one on one in at least 5-10 matches and been beaten by him once.  

If you don't have the rare, go get it, I really, really big time reccomend it, he can go toe to toe with just about any other pet.. minus.. the at the moment overpowered blighthawk heh

finally got one.. i had the chance for 2 but i mistakenly had my level 10's in my battle group heh. thank god another spawned! first one was poor, and the one i got was normal.  And, that's quite all right by me.. maybe sometime in the future i'll come back and try and coerce the rare into showing up for the party.  But, until then, i'm just happy he's in my pet book :)

as I now have to go get this thing.. was looking for a pet that had call darkness under 20.. you can get the scourge whelp at around 21-22 ish.. and I have one.. but I want to try out my soul of the aspect's surge of light skill.. man.. why wolfman.. WHY??!  oh well..  wolfman for the loss... update, got it. leveling him now, he's 4! as we speak.  can't wait for 5.1 so i can upgrade him to rare!

been attempting to capture the rare version of the pet for about 3 1/2 hours. and.. I think I'm done.  

If you plan on getting it, either, be super lucky, or insanely patient, because there's a sincere possibility, this thing, is not going to drop.. I assume it'll happen sometime, but who knows.. it might not haha.

Love this pet, he's in my main pvp squad. Geyser is insane, and, if need be, the other team has a strong elemental they save for ending the match, tidal wave is an excellent skill for weakening it to the point where one of your other two pets can deal with it easily.  I love this pet, and suggest it highly.  as well as the last guy, I got a rare, quite luckily, i'd say on about my 4'th pet battle with the npc waveling's.

This pet should be rated along with the highest rated pets, I don't know why he's not.  his skill set is amazing, he's the only dragon I know of that can come back to life and get two free rounds to eithet put set up spells or two more rounds of damage on before swap.  

He deserves a better rating

just to say, I had no issue getting mine.  I ended up grabbing two.  one to bolster my upcoming 19-20's and my main one who's 25.
