I finally got around to completing Get Hek'd on an old Horde toon. However, I hadn't yet completed doing all the steps on THAT toon until AFTER the achievement was awarded as warband-wide. The last few years I've mostly played only Alliance, out of convenience; but I really hate pet-battle-pvp, so I've never established Dodger as a vendor.

 

 

So, I checked on the alt that finished the achievement credit—many times, in fact, including logouts and full relaunches of WoW. Neither he nor my Alliance main sees Child of Jani as an option from Happy Holaua. I'm thinking the achievement is insufficient for Horde or Alliance, now, that the pvp route is the only one. OR, the switch to a warband-wide achievement has introduced a bug. Given my odd fate of finding many obscure bugs in the game, over the years, it's hard to be certain which is the case without asking. X-D

 

 

If I manage to solve the problem and get any explanation, I'll edit this comment.

I might not be bitter if the booster pack came with a choice of mount or pet rather than only the mount. Seriously, I don't want a wireless mouse—especially one that doesn't look like it even would be comfortable in my hand. On the other hand, my headset needs a booster; so horrible financial timing or not, I'd probably purchase it. Mind you, the booster alone costs too little to incur free shipping, so tack on an extra US$9.99.
