On my server (Eitrigg) at 59.5,25.8, just behind Talonbranch Glade in Felwood, and down a slight hill, there is a "cart", under that cart is a tainted cockroach, in his lineup is a RARE Tainted Rat.  He must be glitched because after you battle him he respawns over and over instantly, with the same RARE Rat in the LU.  Maybe just a server thing or something else...worth a look see if you need the rat.

Thank you...:)  I took suggestion (below) about 'Crazy Cat Lady' and her one spawning cat.  It worked!  On my server there are nada "Fledgling Nether Rays" to be had in the area, so no "Cat" either (and I thought the elusive Tanaris Sand Kitten was a pain)...lol  Anyway, as stated, there is (1) respawning Cat, about every 90 sec, so no wait time.  He is lvl 1-3.  Mostly greys, then to white, green then blue.  Got RARE on seventh pull. Grt plc 2 lv ur 1's.

About gave up.  Then tried logical strat.  Killed everything inside/around EL, even 2 squirr and rabb crit.  Ran outside circut killing all rspns.  Took 3 circ's then a cub would pop...(1) only.  Wash, rinse, repeat...in toto...(7) cubs popped doing this, RARE was #4. 1 spwnd "IN" EL city.

#3 E. of All Griff Mast (left of path) 60,50(fav spwn pt for cub)

Ditto on the kazoodles of them (a mini army)...lol.  There does seem to be a greater majority of "1065" in the health stat when it comes to the uncommon green.  They spawn faster than you can battle them.  Got my Rare on fourth hit.  If you are looking for a rare spider, then this is the place to go for the 21-23 lvl range.  They are in most of the LP's.  This is deff the place to lvl grind your pets...I'll be coming back for sure....:)

Just got my rare at east side of Drak Tharon Keep.  On my server these birds are as sparse as hens teeth.  Not until today have I even seen a rare.  Found one, and accidently killed it.  I thought I was going to cry.  Three weeks I have been looking for this elusive bird.  Then blessings upon me when I decided to use the /target Imperial Eagle Chick macro.  Then bang!  Not five minutes after the death of the first rare, I bagged another.  Lucky!!

Took advice so given here about the 'mamma bears and the raid icons'.  Found 2 mamas w/ cubs, marked them then killed EVERYTHING ELSE.  The spawn/respawn was rapid.  More new mamas w/ cubs would spawn.  Had total of six going, all marked, as I would kill off everything else.  Things went great until an Undead Hordie came and slaughtered all my mamas for the fun of it then laughed. Got "RARE" on fourth cub Infested Bear Cub.  Many other critter RARES in LU.

Got mine last night on US server, west coast time 2:00 AM. Sure enough, Dragon Wastes in Dragonblight is "one" of the places to go. However, 'rares/uncommon' were "rare". Dragonbone Hatchlings, plentiful, and spawn/respawn everywhere. Got a 'rare' with first hit. If looking for: 'rare' Artic Hare/Shore Crab, go here. They're so plentiful I was tossing them. The place I finally got my rare Penguin however, was in Broean Tundra in the Oily Oozling lineup. Only one showed, and I got him. Sweeeet!
