Caught this today off the coast of Sri-La Village while fishing reef octopi in the "fish of the day" pools. Took me about 350 casts. Having yourself in the LFR que to break up the monotony helps a lot, as does some good music. Happy fishing!

Ran thru MC on 2 toons, got this guy twice in a row. Havent seen the others yet. Dunno if thats just incredibly lucky or if this one has a higher droprate.

Saw these spawning like crazy while farming rep to get my mounts. The minute I hit exhalted and went to lvl some pets up to capture these beauties they disappeared. Haven't seen one for days :(

Well it seems that after countless months of farming my desperate patience has been rewarded. I have known about this pet and been farming since it was released, finally got it today!! I had bunny hunter on for part of the time and I would guess it took me well over 2000 kills, perhaps more. All I can say is don't give up...if I can get it, anyone can!

Caught after 35 casts in VoEB from an Emperor Salmon school. Was actually farming for the blue one when it happened and got caught by surprise, but its definitely confirmation that this guy drops from salmon schools regardless of their location.
