I believe I have picked up almost all of the easier pets,  so now it's on to rep-grindy, mob-farming, boss-drop, RNG pets! Why didn't I do more Argent Tournament back in the day?!? Oh, yeah... you know why. Bleah!

Also, on to the Timeless Isle to start The Celestial Tournament.

Baneling is back to being available, along with the even more collectable Mini Thor pet, and the soon-to-be-released new mini-Archon pet if you buy StarCraft II: The Complete Collection - Digital Deluxe from the Blizzard store. You get all three pets and an actual whole other game and expansions to occasionally think about playing!

This pet has the same move sets and breeds as the Flat-Tooth Calf and Mudback Calf. If you aren't having luck finding a rare of those two in the wild, this may be a worthwhile expense.

My tactic for farming this critter was to leave a toon parked outside of the Caverns of Time at the flightpoint just SW from CoT entrance. It conveniently overlooks the Gaping Chasm. From there, you can shuttle back and forth to Grand Master Pet Tamer Obalis in Uldam for your daily quest. If you have to leave, you can always port back to CoT through Dalaran's Violet Citadel. You will know if the sandstorm is occuring. Hazy with puffs of sandy "smoke" and what looks like tan snow "falling" sideways. In my case it was blowing towards me. That, and they'll be Silithid Hatchlings all over the Gaping Chasm and Noxious Lair!

Even on low-population servers, this rockpile is hard to find. None of the suggested stratagies yielded anything. Clearing out everything may increase your odds of most pets spawning, but the minfernal timer must be extremely long, and server resets didn't produce anything for me. Just checking in and making a quick run through the area did work. I found 2 uncommons and 1 common. P/P, H/H, and H/P at 8:30 p.m. Brazil server time. Port to Hyjal, taxi to Felwood and good luck.

Frog: Make sure your addons are up-to-date. My BattlePetID was not, and I had the same issues. I thought I was going crazy!

The Junglebeak is a great high-level substitution for a crow if you haven't leveled one yet.

I must have murdered 250 of these poor things looking for a P/P of any quality. After 3 hours of collecting/dumping 8 rares and passing over tons of poor, common, and uncommon, I made do with a H/P. Has anyone collected a P/P recently? Do they still exist?

*edit: If your PetBattleID addon is out of date, you will not see the correct ID on a lot of pets. Wow, that explains a lot of issues.

I shamefully admit that I started a Worgen DK on a brand new Brazilian server to get this pet. After all the training up of my knight, I found it at the second spawn point above Star's Rest, right after I learned cw flying. I was so excited that I botched the fight. I ran the circuit again, and found it at the next spawn point above Wyrmrest Temple about an hour later. Poor quality H/H, but it's in the bag.
