Got mine today! Seriously lucky. After about 250 kills it dropped. The best farm area is to the right of Everlook, all of the shamans and ursas. The respawn rate is fast and you get some good greens out of it too. There is also a rare that spawns in the area Grizzle Snowpaw, and he has a 0.09% drop chance [which is higher than all of the mobs in Winterspring (0.01% to 0.05%)] but his respawn rate ranges from 3-6 hours.

Found two as soon as I got there - the first (poor) wandering around Forward Command. The second (uncommon) a little below Fort Triumph running around with a herd of adult giraffes!

On Tichondrius at about 11:00 PM server time and I was the only one there. <3

I found my rare in the valley to the left of Kharanos! There are a ton of snow cubs just below Ironforge as well.

This little guy is so cute <3 He can one shot almost anything, not just critters, but I wish he had some healing abilities.
