As of right now, this is a tier 1 pvp pet. Not because of it's sheer power, but because it (S/S with Flurry, Crouch, Dazzling Dance) kills both of the currently most-played pets Teroclaw Hatchling (It's faster with Dazzling Dance up) and Bone Serpent (effective damage with Flurry and surviving a lot of punishment with Crouch.)
The fact that this is not in the top 20 battle pets shows that the system is a bit broken right now. At least during Legion, this is easily one of the current top 3, maybe even the best pvp pet in the game.
Rapana Whelk don't care. Rapana Whelk won't receive almost no damage and will heal whatever is there. Rapana Whelk will catch many smaller pets because it won't deal much damage while not receiving much damage. Rapana Whelk is a pretty cool dude.
PS: Yes, i know you could do it with any other Snail as well, but i found a rare level 25, so i didn't have to level it a lot, and it's now my go-to whenever i really want to catch a pet. And it helped me catch my Minfernal, so go Rapana Whelk!
Average level 25.0 - Finally caught up to level up ALL THE MOTHS... and others. Just 11 pets left that i have to make rare. Then, i will slowly acquire attainable new pets, but progress will probably slow down a lot now.
