Best place is to the East of Bladespire Fortress. There are around 5 spawns just out of the Fortress and more appear on the ledge of the cliff as you go down the path. There are a lot of other pets here too, but the Scuttler will not appear as a second/third. That being said you'll want to clear some as it seems to reset the spawns of the Scuttlers.
Just South East of Wor'gul as many have said. There appears to be 4 spawn points but only 1 or 2 are up at a time. They seem to respawn fairly fast.
They don't seem to appear as second/third pets so you need to farm them in this one spot.
I got mine yesterday for 3.2k on the AH. Bargain.
I do a lap of the Valley of the Four Winds a day to get ghost iron ore. From the Hollow to the West to the turtle pool to the East, in an oval shape. It takes about 15-20 mins and you get 7-8 stacks of ore. Once smelting/transmuted it's enough for the daily cooldown for the engineering mat, and the living steel.
I'm saving mine for the Sky Claw though, I'd imagine Pierre/Rascal Bot will be cheap on my server.
A surprisingly good Critter pet for levelling. Keep Stench rolling, and use Perk Up to heal. To damage I used Scratch as I have a rubbish breed, but if you have a breed 9 it might be worth using Flurry as the extra speed means an extra hit.
Pretty strong due to Immolate followed by Conflagrate. You can couple this with a Lil' Ragnaros for some high DPS, but with no healing.
A breed 4 coupled with an Anubisath Idol makes an ideal duo for fast levelling other pets via the dailty tamer battles.

Brilliant pet for the daily pet battle quests. Can deal with a lot of punishment. Couple with a Emerald Proto-Whelp of breed 4 and you have a duo capable of fast levelling other pets.

Since the loss of Breath on my Celestial Dragon I've taken to this little fellow until I raise a decent dragon and get a rare Kun-Lai Runt as he takes care of dragonkin and human damage. I'm quite pleased with him.
Great pet but can be a long old grind to get. The Fel Flame has an identical move set (as does the Spirit of Summer) and is far easier to farm in Shadowmoon Valley.
I've not levelled him yet, although his abilities look cool, he has the Beast moves I like, so levelling will be a breeze at the Tavern in the Mists.
The easiest way to do the quest is to kill the elites. If you do it now, whilst people are still interested, then there are usually a handful of people there. They are no longer tap to faction, so its a free for all!
Since Breath has been replaced with Flamethrower my rating for this pet has gone down. While still tanky, I have to go elsewhere for a Dragonkin damage spell which has ruined my trainer setup.
Great pet for starting out but does loose it's charm at higher levels. Mech are strong against beasts so wild pets go down easily. Build Turret is a nice dot of which 2 can be up at a time if the fight goes on that long. Repair is useful and when coupled with the racial perk means you rarely lose when levelling.
It does take far too much damage higher levels though, so much so that it's worth swapping for a different Mech.
This was the beast pet I chose to start Pet Battling with. Awesome against critters and as much of the wild pets are critters he is a good choice.
I got mine today, kill all the regular mobs and one will spawn eventually. Took me 3 clears but I got the rare first time.
Lot's of stuff to do in Draenor!
