This was very annoying, a very small spawn area and not very clear information on Wowhead or anywhere. It doesn't seem to spawn as a secondary pet.

 

 

I eventually got it by killing every battle pet in the area a very large number of times and taking out all the critters I could find as well. I amused myself by attacking the Alliance base now and then. I eventually got two spawns up and the first was Uncommon so I left the other for some other hapless collector. 

This was my last one for Pandaria Safari. I tried to find one on its own for a while but then resorted to killing and hoping for it as a secondary. I only found poor quality on critter/aquatics in the Arboretum, I wanted uncommon or rare. I went to Dawn's Blossom as some posts suggested and into the bamboo nearby. I found 5 spawns all close together and the last one was uncommon. 

I spent an hour or so killing the non-battle spawns near the Grand Master and at the pavilion on Whitepetal Lake to no avail. I repeated this seemingly fruitless action for 4 days straight and was finally rewarded with a group of three near the Grand Master, just below Shrine of Two Moons. They were uncommon and had two grey Civet Kittens attached so easy fight. I helped someone else get one as well through General Chat since grouped pets are nearly always duplicates. 

OCEANIC- Barthilas. After server restarts on 8th JAN, I got two spawns right under me at 12.33am server time 9th JAN at the bottom of the ramp up to the Silent Vigil graveyard. 

 

Realms represented in the CRZ campers were Frostmourne, Gundrak, Jubei'thos, Barthilas and Dreadmaul. Note that servers other than mine (Barthilas) may have a time difference. Barthilas is GMT+10.5 I believe - please check this yourself though! Good luck and thanks for the help I was given on the forums <3

4pm server time, I had been camped with an alt for about a week, checking in whenever I had time, flying around and logging off again. I logged in and there was one underneath me. It was common but I grabbed it and logged before any of the CRZ campers even had the chance to move. 

 

 

This pet was frustrating but rewarding! He's very cool

I had the place to myself at around 10pm server time.

 

I followed the advice and killed the eggs, then killed the neutral whelps that spawn. I did this for around 15 minutes. Nothing happened so I got bored and started killing the big proto's AS WELL. After about ten minutes of this I was rewarded with two spawns in the middle. One was grey and one uncommon. After the capture I didn't stick around as two Alliance flew down but there was one more spawn in the north-east corner as I left.

*OCEANIC REALM* - I went looking for this pet on the weekend, there was a bit of confusion over the holiday and event start times changing to PST for American servers and GMT +10 for Oceanic. My local time is Daylight Savings at the moment so nearly an hour ahead.

 

 

Through sitting semi-afk on Barthilas server for about 5 hours total I can say that this event still spawns at 9pm SERVER time, and finished at 11pm SERVER time. The NPC'S spawned on the o'clock and two pets spawned a few minutes later.

None to be found on Barthilas despite people saying they are up. I have parked an alt to fly around once in a while but am yet to sight one. US server might have something to do with it? Can anyone confirm they have caught one from a non-EU server?

Frustratingly slow to respawn, I battle 5 poor quality above the Portal as noted and eventually got a common quality. I flew around for half an hour or so killing other pets in the area but still no respawns. 

I got mine from an actual spawn on Bloodmist Isle. I got it quite regularly during Ravager Hatchling fights as well after that in the same area. No rare as yet, just uncommon.

This was being heavily camped on my server, so I returned late at night. There were still two dedicated farmers sitting on spawn spots so I followed the advice on Wowhead and began fighting or killing all the local spawns of rats and mice.

 

 

After about 20 minutes I was rewarded with two fast spawns close to each other, the first one was poor so I bailed on the fight and got the second - common quality. I am happy with that for now, and will return and try my luck at a rare later.

 

 

I parked in the cave and logged in day and night, cleared the cave a few times but no success. Finally after three days I lucked out and had 5 spawns. The second last was Uncommon, I called a friend for the last one to try his luck and another spawned as I killed critters while I was waiting. He got Uncommon quality as well. So just keep trying is the only advice, and killing mobs/critters may help.
