Larissa Says:

Mostly I'm updating this because my last update was in 2018 at 1000 pets. I've added another 600 since then. This year I went through the grind for the Phoenix Wishwing, and spend a lot of time farming pets. It's either that, or actually get good at the game, after all!

About Larissa:

My wife collected battle pets for almost a year before I got into it - I was more interested in raiding. Once I started, it was like eating salted peanuts - I had to have more.

That's really what makes WoW great - there is something for everyone. I enjoy questing, the occasional dungeon, non-hardcore raiding, collecting and leveling my battle pets, and even fishing - I won the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza several times in Vanilla WoW, back before we had battle pets.

My favorite pet is the Murky I got from attending the first BlizzCon, although several now rival it for cuteness. Don't let him know I said that, because he's pretty dangerous when aroused.

That puts me in the situation of having one of the rarest pets in the game, but missing several much more common pets that cost real money (Blizzcon, Collector's Editions) or require turning friends into fellow addicts.
