I just had one drop for me from a Blingtron 6000. So no need to be an engineer to make one, you just hafta be lucky.

This is an excellent pet. Fel Immolate is just a killer. BUT there is a small bug i.e. Chaos Nova affects only the front pet and does not touch the back-line pets as it should.

Please excuse my ignorance Jbin6123 but what is a "PWS"?

It's a timing thing. I ran around for hours killing Thornclaw Broodlings (once I'd captured both breeds of course) and I could not make the Vicious appear. So I logged out for the night. Next day I found three of them within 10 minutes of logging in - all rare, (I think that's the only kind). I captured just one of them since there is only one breed.

Clearly when it's time for them to spawn, they spawn, and no amount of running around nuking Thornclaws is going to help.

Had this pet drop today from a boss named "Pollous The Fetid" in the Dreadroot area of Val'Sharah. He is not really a rare mob, he spawns constantlly. He is in the area of 66, 44 in a river. He really smells bad.

How often he drops the pet, I do not know but it was while I was on a World Quest so that may have something to do with it. He's tough so unless you're really good or really geared up you don't want to take him on alone.

Note that although this pet is called a Mechanical Axebeak and is created by engineers, that it is a flying pet and not a mechanical. It does not "resurrect" when it is killed - it simply dies.

Mobot, I hope you are right. IMO this pet (along with the Unborn Valkyr) has ruined PvP - at least for me. On my server, at least 50% of my opponents have one on their team. I saw one team that had two Anubisaths and an Unborn Valk!

Why did I bother grinding up 109 pets to lv 25 if half the PvP battles are going to have one or both of these pets?

It's gotten to the point where, when I see one of these overpowered pets on the opposing team I just abort the fight. It's sooo boring fighting these same pets over and over. And it's such a drag having to set up all my PvP teams to guard against them.

Part of the problem is that AIs have gotten really cheap on the AH. You can get one now for about 1100g. So you don't have to put in any thought toward making a good PvP team any more, you just buy one or two of these, level 'em up, and you're ready to kick butt.

So I am all for nerfing both of these pets as I think they do harm to the game the way they are now.

OK, OK, I get it. You were (lucky/unlucky) enough to get this pet on the (1st/2nd /3,000th kill).

Now will somebody please tell us how well the pet fights?

Other than bragging rights or how much it sold for on the AH, how useful is it?

Is it worth the trouble to get it? Does it have any special abilities that distinguish it from all the other baby raptors that look just like it (except for color)?

I don't know of one that is higher damage but I know of one that is exactly the same - the Crimson Geode. And you don't have to buy it on the AH just go down to Deepholm and capture it.

I have named mine Yorick since he was "a fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy"
