Got a rare in Arathi Highlands as a second pet to a Grasslands Cottontail. I also saw it come as an add to almost every pet in the area. It's an awesome pet against critters, the Devour ability is very strong. Good luck!

After engaging all the pets I could find in the area for about 2 hours, I only saw poor and common versions of this pet, and twice uncommon (both times as a second to a Rattlesnake). I also had a friend with me looking for a rare and he also could not find one. I am going to settle for this uncommon version and find a stone to upgrade it. Good luck!

Just captured a rare level 22 in Storm Peaks at Snowdrift Plains at 1:45AM server time on Azralon. It was accompanied by an uncommon Mountain Skunk (whose fight was quite hard) and a common quality Spider. It is snowing in the region. Good luck!

Just captured a rare (level 20) in Icecrown at Sindragosa's Fall (73.35, 39.31) server Azralon at 10:55PM server time. It was accompanied by two cockroaches, one of them was rare quality too. Good luck!

Just captured my rare (level 19) just east of Eco-Dome Midrealm at 2:14PM server time on Azralon. The rare was actually back up for another roach which was common quality. There was also a mouse as backup. Good luck!

Just caught my rare level 18, a little bit south of Cenation Thicket in Terokkar (coordinates 43.14, 29.51). Accompanied by a squirrel and a skunk. Good luck!

Just got my rare at the Dry Hills on Azralon server at Noon server time. When I arrived there there were many, at least 10. Got my rare on the seventh battle. 

Just got my rare after about 1 hour farming. When I got to Terron Run there were two "mothers" with hatchlings, both were poor quality... I marked the mothers with a raid icon and killed all the others that did not have hatchlings, that made new creatures respawn... at the end I had four mothers. This approach works to get Infested Bear Cub as well.

Farmed this guy in Dustwallow Marsh killing Searing Whelps. Got one after about 50min... Decided to continue trying for a second one and got it after another 20min farming. Good luck!

Circled the lake killing the whelps... I got one after about an hour, decided to continue farming to get a second one and got it after 15min!
