I found my rare easily as well! Northern Barrens 43.04 55.19, under a tree. :D

After a few battles, I found a rare as a secondary to another shimmershell snail. It was a level 6, so looks like that is the lucky number. I found it along the shore next to Remtravel's Excavation site. =D

Got my rare along the shoreline, across from the Grove of the Ancients. Took about 10 battles, but I finally got it!! Wooooot!!! ^^
