Yeah, I was wondering how that was going to work.  So, basically, the game is "free" now, but they increased how many months we need to buy to get the rewards.

One way to reduce the cost (if only by a tiny amount) is to buy a 3-month block of game time for the account.

90 days of game time is $41.97 vs 3x30-day blocks at $14.99 (for a total of $44.97)...  so we can save up to $3 off the cost.  :-P

While I was a little sad to drop down to #9 on my realm, I am happy that this was done as it is more acurate.  I used to look at Scarlet Crusade seperately (my main is on Feathermoon), but it was hard switching back and forth to try to get an estimate of where I ranked on the connected realms.

Thanks for confirming this.  I had started doing the free world quest as a PvP quest on one of my alts that gets the free world quest each day and was starting to wonder if I was wasting my time doing that.

I ran into a phasing issue when trying to get this pet.  I lost track of how many times I killed the matriarch and ran to the spot, then, the last time, I finally spotted it wandering around, but when I approached, it vanished.  I moved back closer to where the snowfeather mobs spawn, and it reappeared.  I was then able to get it.  I suspect that the previous times I had killed the matriarch, I must have moved too far past the spot to see it.

You need 45 points to get this pet.  The best I have managed is 40 (got that exactly twice so far).  My usual score ranges from 30 to 37... but has been lower.  I am starting to think that I will never get this pet.

I FINALLY managed to get this done!  Did it on a hunter with Aspect of the Cheetah on.  I had gotten up as high as 43 a few times last night, and planned to give it all I have today... and got exactly 45 points.
