@Jonesworthy You could try making a few trial characters on different servers. You should find the dusty rug spawned on one of the servers if you check the usual locations on each one.

A very interestingtanky  pet for PvP with Shield, Crouch and a decoy breaker in Flurry. All those moves benefit from speed so I would pick the S/B breed over the more obvious P/P option.

Turns up a lot in Nazmir as an added pet. The fastest undead pet in the game in the S/S breed though for my money the P/S breed is the PvP choice. 314 Speed plus Darkness is fast enough to take on those pesky Clutch Sisters and that extra power is probably better in this guy with no moves that specifically benefit by going first.

The drop rate does seem a little better. I got mine at the end of about three hours of riding round picking herbs. Before the hotfix I picked about 200,000G worth of herbs without any luck.

For PvP I really like the 305 speed of the S/B breed. Retrieve, Puppies of the Flame and even Magma Trap (to a lesser extent) are much better if you can get them off before your opponent's attack and the 305 speed will beat a lot of other pets to the punch.

The S/S breed is very effective in PvP where you run into a lot of undead pets. The combination of 341 Speed, Flurry, Survival and Crouch makes it very hard to kill and allow it to inflict heavy damage to your opponents team unless they run flyers or speed buffs.

The H/H breed with Consume Corpse gives great staying power and alternating Poison Spit with Reckless Strike can really dish out some amazing damage for a pet with nothing invested in Power. Seems to work very well as a finisher in PvP.

H/P would seem to be the best breed as the others are still pretty darn slow even with dots in speed and this pet comes with overtune. Still I'm not unhappy with the P/B I picked up today. Interesting moveset with Woodchipper and Flux which are quite rare abilities to find in Mechs. Non-Trade Different breeds are a bit of a pain to a collector like me that likes to pick up all the variates but I suppose once the dungeon has been completed six times it will be nice to still have something to spend those caps on!

I prefer using just the one bonestorm with Blistering cold and ice spike in the 2 and 3 slots. That can be devestating if you follow him in with a pet with Call Lightning. I'm currently trying teaming him with a PS Cerulian Moth and a Clockwork Gnome and he works very well.
