Status Update (1)

Currently at 235/250 wins towards Brutal Pet Brawler and hating every laboriously frustrating second of it.

I have never done something I disliked so much all for a little green dino. But in the end, I feel he will be worth it, for he and I will both know that I did the one thing I said I'd never do in WoW all for him: PvP.

**Update** Finally got this guy!!!! Named him "Odio," hatred in Spanish, for all the hate I felt in every single one of these battles! At least I can retire my thug dino team and NEVER. QUEUE. AGAIN. Good luck to everyone still battling their way to this cutie!

Just wanted to CONFIRM for Enan1981: Yes, you can get the drop without having yet prepurchased the expansion. I'm broke and haven't yet purchased WoD and still was able to have this little guy drop.

This is guy is one of my absolute favorites against any Beast pet. His Build Turret ability paired with any other pet's Call Lightning weather effect does INSANE damage against Beast pets. If he can live long enough to place another turret and have two out at the same time, you're looking at 6 hits/round (12 if Call Lightning is still going)!

If you are looking to find your rare of these guys, follow other posters' advice and DO NOT just farm the rare spawns of Highlands Mouse. Instead, battle just about every other battle pet in Twilight Highlands and you will have them spawn as a second or third in the fight. This includes everything from Twilight Fiendlings and Highlands Turkeys to Rattlesnakes and Yellow-Bellied Marmots. After about a half an hour or so found my rare as second to the Twilight Fiendling. Good luck!

Just wanted to share a tip for those also searching for Unborn Val'kyr: one of her spawn points (75,22) is right along the circuit of Gundrak raptors you kill to get the Gundrak Hatchling, so check with each circuit; for me she spawned at least twice. On another note, don't give up! 1,848 kills and he was mine. He drops into your bag unannounced showing as common quality, so make sure you have space as you may overlook him. However, he is rare quality as a BP. Yay!

This should be your go-to pet against all Flying opponents. It has that amazing combination of taking less damage from their flying abilities (since it's a Dragonkin) but ALSO has Magic abilities, which deal 50% more damage against those same Flying critters.

Perfect combo! Not to mention she is a beaut! One of the few times the Blizzard Gods loved us.

The easiest place imho to find a rare version of these guys is in Ironforge. Take an Ally toon and fly/ride/run around Ironforge and you'll find tons all over the place. My rare was all the way in the back of the Military Ward back where the Warrior Trainers are.

Thank you, Korendir, for your awesome explanation! Confirmed!

Unfortunately I am now responsible for killing hundreds and hundreds of rats and non-BP snowshoe hares trying to get my rare.

I finally decided to ONLY kill the BP versions of the rats around Strahnbad and SH's. I DID NOT kill the non-BP versions. This seemed to help a lot because the non-BP's acted like place holders and the BP versions spawned more frequently. Finally, after wanting so bad to give up, the Rare came! NERDRAGE!!!

Re: Cat

Have to agree with those suggesting rolling a BE and just slaughtering ALL the cats in the area right around where you first spawn after creating a new BE (both battle pets and regular critter cats). The re-spawn rate is very fast, like 1 minute, and after a few I finally got my rare! She (don't know why, but in my mind she's a she) even had the siamese cat skin to boot, which is my fave.

Kitty slaughter house!

I can confirm that emparting mass maggot/rat genocide WILL make these guys spawn. It still took me about 2 hours of circling Undercity to find my rare, but killing all battle pets around worked to help ensure new Undercity Rats would spawn.

Side note, there are a few in the Royal Quarters by Sylvanas, but they seemed to always be impossible to engage due to the infamous "uneven ground" dreaded message. Better to just circle the Auctioneers and around the slime river.

I spent months with one of my alts camped hovering above Sindragosa's Fall, trying all sorts of theories, only to never even see a single one. Today I finally just decided to switch it up a bit and take a different alt on a different realm there, and bam! Three of these guys just hanging around. 73.08,38.19 @ 10:30AM PST Nesingwary US to be exact, uncommon to boot.

Even with this CRZ craze, I think that trying a different server can't hurt, especially if you're not seeing them day after day.
